190628-N-JK118-1036 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 28, 2019) Logistics Specialist Seaman Apprentice Kristian Bamba, from Tamoning, Guam, dons a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in the hangar bay aboard the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during a general quarters drill. SCBA’s provide breathable air for Sailors while combating casualties in toxic environments. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
