190625-N-QO047-1992 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 25, 2019) Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) unload cargo during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4). Green Bay, part of the of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency, while simultaneously providing a flexible and lethal crisis response force ready to perform a wide range of military operations.
