190620-N-SS350-0033 GULF OF OMAN (June 20, 2019) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) steams through the Gulf of Oman. Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operation in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
