Michael Bishop, the commanding officer of Patrol Squadron (VP) 46 peers out the window of a P-3C Orion anti-submarine warfare patrol aircraft during his last flight as commanding officer of VP-46. VP-46 has recently returned from deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet and U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operations and is making preparations to transition from the P-3C platform to the P-8A Poseidon.
