KINGS BAY, Ga. (June 13, 2019) Cmdr. Christopher Culpepper, incoming commanding officer of the Coast Guard Maritime Force Protection Unit (MFPU) Kings Bay, salutes as he arrives at his change of command ceremony. Culpepper relieved Cmdr. Joseph Gaskill, who served as the MFPU commanding officer since 2016. MFPU Kings Bay is responsible for the protection of U.S. Navy ballistic missile submarines while surfaced and transiting U.S. territorial waters.
