190612-N-UM706-0204 GULF OF ADEN (June 12, 2019) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 4) heave line to seat the fueling probe during a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shephard (T-AKE 3). Nitze is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
