190611-N-FC670-140 TODENDORF, Germany (June 11, 2019) A team of researchers from the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR), German Naval Research (WTD 71), aboard FSG Konsort, conduct MCM Experimentations during BALTOPS 2019 using Mark 18 Mod 2 unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV). Their experimentation objectives include collecting performance measurements in an operationally relevant environment for future improvements to systems. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, marking the 47th year of one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
