190607-N-AE894-0131 BOSTON (June 7, 2019) A Sailor assigned to USS Constitution climbs the rigging as Constitution is tugged out to Fort Independence on Castle Island during "Old Ironsides'" underway commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy. Constitution, in partnership with the Naval History and Heritage Detachment Boston, and The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center, observed the 75th anniversary of D-Day with an underway and wreath laying ceremony, honoring those who took part in the Invasion of Normandy.
