190528-N-JN397-0003 CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines (May 28, 2019) Cmdr. Robert Wilkerson, commanding officer of Patrol Squadron (VP) 5, explains the systems of P-8A Poseidon aircraft to U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, from California’s 28th Congressional District, and other government officials at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. The “Mad Foxes” of VP-5, who are based out of Jacksonville, Florida, are currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. Throughout the deployment, they will be conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.(U.S. Navy photo by Lt. j.g.
