190526-N-AD347-1125 SATTAHIP, Thailand (May 26, 2019) Sailors aboard the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Patriot (MCM 7) and sister ship USS Pioneer (MCM 9) set up a brow between the two ships as Patriot arrives in Sattahip in preparation for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2019. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise series designed to enhance U.S. and partner navy abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
