190515-N-VH871-039 ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 15, 2019) A rigid-hull inflatable boat deployed from the Royal Danish Navy ship HDMS Absalon (L16) prepares to come alongside the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80). Absalon and Roosevelt are operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of exercise Formidable Shield 19. Formidable Shield is designed to improve allied interoperability in a live-fire, integrated air and missile defense environment using NATO command and control reporting structures.
