190512-N-VH871-486 ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 12, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Bobby Lynn signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 off of the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80). Roosevelt is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of exercise Formidable Shield 19. Formidable Shield is designed to improve allied interoperability in a live-fire, integrated air and missile defense environment using NATO command and control reporting structures.
