190509-N-GM441-0001 OKINAWA, Japan (May 9, 2019) Aircrewman Operator 3rd Class Taylor Powers, assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 5, tests the operator systems during an aircraft preflight inspection. The "Mad Foxes" of VP-5 are currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within U.S. 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
