190411-N-UY393-0184 KUCHING, Malaysia (April 11, 2019) U.S. Navy Seabees and personnel from the Malaysian army, the U.S. Air Force, and the Royal Canadian Medical Service celebrate the end of an enclosure project during a ribbon cutting ceremony at Sambir Elementary School. These engagements promote cooperation and friendship between Pacific Partnership 2019 participants and the host nation. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
