The demolition drill was conducted with the combined efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), U.S. military, and members of the Australian Defense Force in order to exchange the best practices and learn from one another. Balikatan is an annual military training exercise hosted by the Philippines between the AFP and U.S. military designed to strengthen multinational relationships.
