190402-M-QT322-0009 SETÚBAL, PORTGUAL (April 2, 2019) – Portuguese Fuzileiros clear a room as part of military operations in urban terrain training during Instruction Exercise (INSTREX) in Setúbal, Portugal, April 2, 2019. Elements from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit are participating in INSTREX in order to sustain combat readiness, execute amphibious operations, demonstrate interoperability and continue a strong partner relationship with our NATO ally. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD-24) is making a scheduled deployment as part of the 22nd MEU and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while also providing a forward Naval and Marine presence.
