190401-M-QT322-0001 SETÚBAL, PORTGUAL (April 1, 2019) – Portuguese Fuzileiro 1st Lt. Robert Viola, a company commander, briefs U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Fuzileiros at a military operations in urban terrain (MOUT) training exercise during Instruction Exercise (INSTREX) in Setúbal, Portugal, April 1, 2019. Elements from the 22nd MEU are participating in INSTREX in order to sustain combat readiness, execute amphibious operations, demonstrate interoperability and continue a strong partner relationship with a NATO ally. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD-24) is making a scheduled deployment as part of the 22nd MEU and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while also providing a forward Naval and Marine presence.
