The aircraft were delivered in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2 as they prepare to take authority of SPMAGTF-CR-AF from 19.1 for operations within the area of responsibility. The MV-22 increases SPMAGTF-CR-AF’s operational reach and can swiftly project U.S. Marine combat power to emerging crises.
