190319-N-AT856-077 CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (March 19, 2019) Sailors assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 11 perform an echelon formation while conducting navigational check rides on 34-foot Sea Ark patrol boats during Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19) at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. CRS-11's primary mission is to deploy abroad to protect high-value assets around the world. Seaward, it provides embarked security teams aboard cargo vessels, oilers, and other Military Sealift Command ships, countering pirates by providing an onboard security team. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
