(March 16, 2019) Navy Construction Electrician 2nd Class Tim Dailey, from Lilburn, Georgia, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, performs daily dive prechecks on a KM-97 diving helmet before conducting scenario-based training during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). UCT-2 provides waterfront and underwater engineering, construction, repair, and inspection in support of Navy and Marine Corps operations and are capable of performing complex inshore and deep ocean underwater construction tasks. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
