(March 12, 2019) Builder 2nd Class Joseph Schaffer, top, from Jefferson City, Missouri, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, checks the alignment of the first few trusses installed on a 16x32 Southeast Asia hut. NMCB-5 is building the huts during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19) for use by Navy Expeditionary Medical Training Institute on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Working hand-in-hand, Navy expeditionary force and 1st Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases.
