190308-N-MD802-1130 CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (March 8, 2019) Construction Electrician 3rd Class Tuan Tran, left, and Builder 3rd Class Nick Light, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, dismantle a Harris RF-3081-AT001 antenna at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California as part of Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). The antenna is part of a Blue Force Tracking system which consists of a computer, a satellite terminal and satellite antenna, a GPS receiver and mapping software which provides military commanders and forces with location information about military forces. Navy expeditionary forces support the Marine expeditionary forces and the Fleet by establishing theater logistics through the development of advanced naval bases. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
