190302-N-QL471-315 SANTA RITA, Guam (March 2, 2019) Sailors assigned to Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 1, Detachment Guam, move container spreader bars from the Military Sealift Command Air Force container ship MV Captain David I. Lyon (T-AK 5362) to the pier. NCHB-1, Detachment Guam, assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, is the Navy’s only active duty cargo handling battalion. They are a rapidly deployable unit of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, capable of loading and discharging ships and aircraft in all-climatic and threat conditions.
