190216-M-MR595-1161 PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Feb. 26, 2019) Sailors and Marines embarked aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) man the rails, Feb. 16, 2019, as the ship arrives in Hawaii. Throughout the Western Pacific 18-2 deployment, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Navy's Essex Amphibious Ready Group conducted training and operations across four combatant commands, strengthening key partnerships and providing the combatant commanders a flexible and lethal crisis response force.
