Christopher Polnaszek, Instructor and Tactics Course (ITC) manager at Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center, speaks to ITC class 19010 before their graduation. ITC is the initial course every warfare tactics instructor candidate must complete before specializing in one of four warfare areas. SMWDC headquarters is located at Naval Base San Diego with four divisions in Virginia and California focused on Amphibious Warfare, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Anti-Submarine Warfare/Surface Warfare, and Mine Warfare.
