190105-N-JO908-1100 POHNPEI, Federated States of Micronesia, (Jan. 5, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 2nd class Curtis Shinnston, from Gilbert, West Virginia, right, and Builder 3rd class Kelly Dever, from Chicago, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, participate in a roadway cleanup event in Pohnpei. NMCB-1 and employees from U.S., Australian and Japanese embassies picked up over 20 bags of rubbish along the most heavily used roadway in Pohnpei. NMCB-1 is assigned to combined Task Force 75 and is the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
