200628-N-ML137-1004 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 28, 2020) Airman Devan Schaeffer, from Duncan, Oklahoma, directs an F/A-18E Super Hornet attached to the Royal Maces of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27 on the flight deck of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) to prepare for flight operations. Ronald Reagan is part of the Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG). The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and Ronald Reagan CSGs are conducting dual carrier operations in the Philippine Sea as the Nimitz Carrier Strike Force.
