200614-N-KK394-1604 CARIBBEAN SEA (June 14, 2020) A U.S. Army UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Winged Warriors" of 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment (1-228 AVN) takes off from the flight deck of the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7) as part of deck landing qualifications. Detroit is deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility to support Joint Interagency Task Force South's mission, which includes counter illicit drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.
