200602-N-HR150-1427 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 2, 2020) Lt. Jacqueline Penichet, from South Salem, New York, operates a sound-powered phone during an underway replenishment (UNREP) aboard the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). U.S. Navy ships at sea conduct UNREPs to deliver essential parts, food and mail needed to keep the fleet on mission. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
