200529-N-OT328-0152 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 29, 2020) An F/A-18F Super Hornet, from the "Fighting Redcocks" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 breaks the sound barrier during a change of command ceremony aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is underway conducting a composite unit training exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the CSG, while testing a strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
