(May 29, 2020) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kossivi Kouakou, a Sailor with Expeditionary Medical Facility-M, is awarded the Louisiana Emergency Service medal at Baton Rouge General Mid City campus May 29, 2020. The medal is in recognition of his efforts during COVID-19 response operations. The Department of Defense will transition its tasks of life saving and sustaining, and the reduction of immediate threats to public health, to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other federal, state, and local agencies as they continue to conduct recovery and mitigation.
