200528-N-ML137-1009 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 28, 2020) The dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) steams alongside the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), during a replenishment-at-sea. The non-combatant, civilian-crewed ship, operated by Military Sealift Command, provides fuel, food, ordnance, spare parts, mail and other supplies to Navy ships throughout the world. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
