200517-N-DQ752-1013 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 17, 2020) An F/A-18E Super Hornet, from the �Mighty Shrikes� of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22, prepares for flight operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the CSG, while testing a strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
