200515-N-BC190-1027 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 15, 2020) An F/A-18E Super Hornet, from the �Mighty Shrikes� of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 94, prepares to take off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of a CSG, while testing a strike group�s ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
