200506-N-JO908-1376 ARABIAN GULF (May 6, 2020) The coastal patrol ship USS Monsoon (PC 4), participates in a towing exercise with a Mark VI patrol boat assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 56 in the Arabian Gulf. This event highlights one of many core competencies that the Coastal Riverine Force provides in support of U.S. 5th Fleet operations. CTF 56 is responsible for the planning and execution of expeditionary missions including coastal riverine operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
