200428-N-EV253-1057 NEW YORK (April 28, 2020) The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, and U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, honor frontline COVID-19 responders and essential workers with a formation flight over New York City and the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20). While in New York City, Comfort provided care for critical and non-critical patients without regard to their COVID-19 status. Comfort�s operations in New York City were conducted in support of U.S. Northern Command�s Defense Support of Civil Authorities as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
