200427-N-SF508-0295 KAILUA, Hawaii (April 27, 2020) Unexploded ordnance (UXO) is destroyed during a controlled detonation off Lanikai Beach by Sailors assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 1 (MDSU 1) Detachment Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) in Kailua, Hawaii. MDSU 1 Det. EOD removed eight potential UXO EOD deemed safe to move before conducting a controlled detonation of two more after they were discovered off Lanikai Beach.
