2004026-N-LL146-2004 NEW YORK (April 26, 2020) Sailors transport the last patient off the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) for relocation to a local hospital for the appropriate level of follow-on care. Comfort cares for critical and non-critical patients without regard for their COVID-19 status. Comfort is working with the Javits New York Medical Station as an integrated system to relieve the New York City medical system, in support of the U.S. Northern Command’s Defense Support of Civil Authorities as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
