200410-N-WI365-1003 EAST CHINA SEA (April 10, 2020) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85) prepares to sail in formation with Republic of Korea (ROK) naval ships as part of Cooperative Deployment (CODEP). CODEP is designed to enhance routine operations and combined-joint interoperability with ROKN and to demonstrate the resolve and commitment to the U.S./ROK alliance and the region McCampbell is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy�s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet�s principal surface force.
