200410-M-MY519-1166 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 10, 2020) Sailors with the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) watch as a helicopter delivers supplies while conducting a replenishment at sea. While underway, the Germantown conducts routine onloads in order to stay supplied and ready for any contingencies in their area of operation. Germantown, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
