(April 8, 2020) Sailors at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) sew protective masks for NNPTC students and staff to align NNPTC with requirements announced in NAVADMIN 100/20 for protective measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. NAVADMIN 100/20, which was released April 5, announced the requirement for military personnel, Navy civilian employees, family members, and Navy contractors to wear cloth face coverings when maintaining proper social distancing is not possible. NNPTC's mission is to train officer and enlisted students in science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants.
