200401-M-UF994-1063 NEW ORLEANS (April 1, 2020) Sub-contractors from New Orleans and the surrounding area work to get 3,000 hospital rooms up and running at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, April 1, 2020. Physicians, nurses, hospital corpsmen and other medical professionals provided by the Navy in support of the Department of Defense COVID-19 response will man many of these stations. This group of specialized Sailors make up the Expeditionary Medical Facility New Orleans Detachment.
