200321-N-PC620-0303 ARABIAN SEA (March 21, 2020) An F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the �Fighting Checkmates� of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, takes off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The Eisenhower strike group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
