200301-N-AJ005-1256 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 1, 2020) The Arleigh-Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Mustin (DDG 89) and USS Barry (DDG 52) sail in formation during the U.S.-Japan Bilateral Advanced Warfighting Training (BAWT) exercise. BAWT improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. This exercise enhances the ability of the U.S. Navy and JMSDF to work together to confront any contingency.
