200131-N-TB148-0376 ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 31, 2020) Electronics Technician 1st Class Michael Drigger, assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron 4, Alpha Company, Boat Team One, heaves a line from a Mark VI Patrol Boat attached to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 56, to the coastal patrol ship USS Whirlwind (PC 11) during an interoperability exercise in the Arabian Gulf. This event highlights one of the many core competencies that the Coastal Riverine Force provides in support of U.S. 5th Fleet operations. CTF 56 is responsible for the planning and execution of expeditionary missions including coastal riverine operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
