200125-N-YM543-338 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 25, 2020) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Lorenzo Medina, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, secures a transfer cable to the bridge wing of U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) during an underway replenishment with USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). A transfer cable is used to transport pallets of supplies, food and ammunition between the support and receiving ships. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.
