200119-N-TI693-1038 GULF OF ADEN (Jan. 19, 2020) Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) return to the ship using a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) after conducting a personnel transfer with the guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), Jan. 19, 2020. Carney is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
