After receiving medical exams, fittings, and equipment and uniform issues, the day ends with the Oath of Office Ceremony, where the new midshipmen pledge to �well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which (they) are about to enter.� Induction Day marks the beginning of Plebe Summer for more than 1,200 newest midshipmen.
