151103-N-GR718-077 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 3, 2015) Sailors aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) and Marines from 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct maintenance on an MV-22 Osprey from Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron (VMM-166) on the flight deck of while off the coast of Southern California. Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), composed of New Orleans, amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and 13th MEU, is conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) to test their ability to effectively respond to scenario driven events and perform as an integrated unit in preparation for deployment.
