NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2021) A U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom helicopter from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), is unloaded from a commercial vessel in order to transfer the aircraft to HMLA-267, MAG-39, 3rd MAW in accordance with the commandant's plan for Force Design 2030 at the National City Pier, San Diego, California, Sept. 13, 2021. Force Design 2030 ensures the Marine Corps will continue to be the nation's premier force-in-readiness and remains ready and able to respond at a moment's notice anywhere in the world.
